13 Years of the DBL

As we celebrate 13 years of the Digital Bible Library, we honor a journey that has spanned a rapidly changing digital world. Since its launch in 2011, when smartphones were still gaining traction, we’ve lived through the rise and fall of platforms, devices, and technologies. From Blackberry and AIM to TikTok and AI assistants, the tools around us have transformed dramatically.

 

Throughout that time, DBL has helped deliver Scripture in more languages, more formats, and to more communities than ever before. It has been a steady presence in an era of constant change.

 

Now we look ahead. We have the opportunity to modernize, to build for a world shaped by voice, video, and visual communication. We’re creating space for sign and oral languages, for powerful integrations, and for the communities who rely on Scripture in new ways. The future isn’t just about keeping up—it’s about stepping boldly into what’s next.

First, someone from your organization makes a personal DBL account.

Step Two
Next, they click “Add Organization” to begin the organization sign-up process.

Step Three
Our Care Team reviews the info and reaches out. Once approved, they will support your introduction to DBL.
